FRAMES

HOW IT WORKS:
1. Add up the Length and Width of your painting or picture (no extra charge for odd sizes).
2. Figure out where that number is in the L+W Column in the table below.
3. Decide on the frame style.
4. Find the price on the table.
5. E-mail me your order: josh@joshuabeen.com

IMPORTANT:
Shipping is extra and depends on order size.
Allow Two to Three weeks for most orders.
For an extra 5.oo/frame, frames can be boxed individually.

FEATURES:
Biscuit Joined Mitres (much stronger corners than V-nails).
Treated Miters to reduce corner cracking.
Seamless corners (very custom looking).
Actual wood.
Very versatile (hang any subject matter in them).
Customizable (See Free Considerations below).

FREE CONSIDERATIONS:
1. Notice the antiquing “rub through” color (in frame corner pics below, it is red). I’ve found “Colonial Red” to be the most vesitile color, but this can be any color (ie. blue to go with a nocturnal painting).
2. The fillet (gold part right next to the painting) can be Silver instead of Gold. With a cooler color like blue for the “rub through”, I prefer to have a silver fillet.
3. Paint in some odd sizes. I like doing triple wide or triple tall. Get creative with your sizes.

STYLES AND DESCRIPTIONS:

 1. Shallow Scoop: Very Light weight and thin. Contemporary but Elegant. Perfect for Plein Air work and Events. Any subject works well in this frame, and it looks exceptional with miniatures.
2. Classic Scoop: Slightly Heavier and thicker than the Shallow Scoop. Perfect for any genre of work. It’s just a classic no nonsense yet very custom looking frame that you can put any subject matter and any style of painting in to.

3. Large Scoop: This frame is meant for larger work. It has clean lines and custom corners that feel important yet submissive to the work. Paintings look substantial in this frame. The back of the frame is not cut away as in the others and gives paintings a lifted off the wall look without being too invasive.

4. Decorative Scoop: This frame is also meant for larger work, but it looks amazing on a miniature painting too. It’s called the Decorative Scoop because it is reminiscent of the Victorian style of the late 1800s. It has rich curvaceous lines with custom looking corners. Paintings look expensive in this frame. The frame is cut away in the back but then returns even wider to the wall which gives the frame a feeling of solidity and strength.
5. Riser Scoop: This frame puts the painting it holds right where it should be, “Front and Center”! It feels very custom with the miters hidden and the rounded off corners. It has some thickness which gives it a strong look while still having soft curves. It’s not as wide as the other profiles, but its height off of the wall gives it importance.

6. Super Scoop: This frame is a combination of the Riser Scoop and the Decorative Scoop. This is the frame for you if you’re having a show in a museum, or want your work to look THAT good!! Put a painting of any size in this frame and it becomes something that people will keep looking for the signature to see if the artist is someone they’ve heard of. At 6″ wide and 3″ tall it’s the King of Frames, or perhaps the Queen with those curves. Try it, you’ll like it!!
