WILL MY TRIPOD WORK?

TripodThere are very few tripods that I have come across in testing this easel that do NOT work with the hooks or aren’t stout enough for the Upright Panel Holders. The following are some guidelines to quickly assess if the tripod you own will work with this setup.
1. TRIPOD LEGS:
A. LEG INDEPENDENCE:
It’s best if each leg is independent of the other legs and only connected by a strong metallic shoulder where you angle the leg out. This junction on nicer models, will usually will have a couple of settings for the angle of the leg. This is ideal.
B. LEG OUTER DIMENSION: The leg’s outer dimensions must not exceed 1.125″ in diameter (most are 3/4 – 7/8″).
2. TRIPOD HEAD UNIT:
A. METALLIC:
The head unit on the tripod must be metal. The tripod will simply not be rigid enough to hold the Upright Panel Holder if the head unit is plastic, and this is very common.
B. QUICK RELEASE PLATE:
It is best if the head unit has a “quick release plate” that un-attaches via some cam-lock system. This feature allows you to connect the Upright Panel Holder firmly using pliers to the “quick release plate”.
C.  SINGLE CONTROL: It is best if the head unit has a single control mechanism like shown and not a lot of arms and angles sticking about.
